Animo - Rehabilitation Game for Young Stroke Patients
Stroke costs Swedish society 8 billion dollars yearly. Studies also show that stroke is increasing among young adults. Of these, it is mainly women who are affected. Patients get treatment at the hospital rehab centers, however, the real challenge starts in their home environment where they have less or no support from the healthcare professionals. The project aims to find new ways to rehabilitate stroke patients in their homes, as the number of patients increases and staff resources decreases as a worrying trend. The concept focuses on the two main key insights from the user research: to provide motivation and insight for the patient when retaining an independent rehabilitation.
Annalise Enterprise: decision-support AI for medical imaging
Medical imaging is the backbone of clinical medicine, informing diagnostic and patient management decisions across the healthcare system. The ever-growing number of medical examinations and worldwide decrease in staff challenges radiologists and healthcare providers to read more complex scans with decreasing resources while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence. Because of this, even well-resourced healthcare systems face significant imaging backlogs. Under-resourced healthcare systems with low clinician-to-patient ratios may miss opportunities for early disease detection due to long patient wait times.
Mobile is intense, intimate, and frequent: the ultimate medium to connect with consumers and gain their loyalty. In order to preserve its role as a supermarket pioneer and innovator, the mobile application 'Appie' was launched in 2009. It's now available for iPhone and Android (and the web, which is outside the scope of this submission) and is still being expanded with new and useful features. With Appie, users' experience around grocery shopping is elevated to a fun, inspiring, and easy process by taking the classic shopping list to a whole new level. Before going shopping, users can browse a database of tens of thousands of recipes, find stores near them, check opening hours, and create their shopping list using numerous 'sources': previous purchases, special offers, recipe ingredients, a bar code scanner, and manual and voice input. The list can even be synchronized across devices, enabling people to work together on the weekends' groceries. In an Albert Heijn store, Appie will help customers find the most efficient route by sorting the items on the list in the right order. And after shopping, users can switch to Cooking Mode, making it easy to follow the steps of recipes, using the ingredients they just bought.

The BioDesign Studio is a new permanent exhibition created by The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose and NYC-based experience design studio, Local Projects. For the first time ever, it makes the burgeoning — and complex — fields of synthetic biology, bioengineering, biological design and DIY biology accessible to the public in an engaging and tangible way. To demystify these cutting-edge fields and technologies, visitors are able to play, tinker and design with the building blocks of life…literally.
Local Projects worked with the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, CA to develop the BioDesign Studio which opened on March 18, 2016. The goal of the BioDesign Studio was to design interactive exhibits to demystify one of the least-understood and most controversial topics in modern science: synthetic biology. The client outlined the basic flow of the gallery, splitting exhibits into two groups. The first group familiarized visitors with the fundamentals of biology, and the second group of exhibits builds on these foundations to introduce visitors to more complex concepts from synthetic biology.

To continue innovating our banking mobile application experience, we designed "Blue," a virtual assistant that enables financial transactions to be made by voice and text. Thanks to this experience, we can provide closer assistance and self-service to 10.7 M people.The users of BBVA are very diverse, both in terms of age, income, and experience with technology. Blue allows them to interact through a chat window in the application with voice and text, enabling new forms of usage to decide which is best for them.We had a great challenge because it was necessary to consider the linguistic variety of our country and design the training of the AI and the conversations that would impact the vast majority of the users, regardless of their social, educational, or geographical conditions.
