In September 2012, the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) and the Quartier des Spectacles announced that Megaphone, a project imagined by Moment Factory, had been chosen following a call for ideas sent out in April 2012. Artists, collectives and production companies from all fields had been invited to submit a proposal for an interactive installation that would spark reflection on how to reconcile the individual and the group. In addition to its unique character and plastic qualities , Megaphone seduced the jury with its urban and polemical spirit, and its potential to give anonymous urban dwellers an opportunity to shine by allowing them to speak out in a public space. The project engendered a wealth of ideas and knowledge, and the creative team sought to ensure that the technology used would generate imagery that matched the words being spoken . The Megaphone project inspired visual artists to push the limits of vocal recognition technology—which is still in its infancy—in order to find creative ways of representing multiple voices and images, all while ensuring both artistic cohesion and the success of an experiment premised on the interaction between human beings and machines.

Algramo is representative as it proposes a new way of selling basic products in neighborhood stores by breaking the traditional logistics chain. Algramo seeks to solve the “poverty tax” which occurs when families, due to liquidity problems, can not buy in large formats and buy in small formats which are up to 40% more expensive due to logistical inefficiencies, marketing and packaging.

Google Art Project welcomes us to the halls of London's Tate Britain, Madrid's Reina Sofia, St. Petersburg's Hermitage. See The Birth of Venus in Florence then Starry Night in New York -- from a curator's perspective, down to each microscopic crack in the canvas. The remarkably elegant and intuitive interface feels perfectly on-brand for Google, without distracting from the visually rich content on the site. Visitors can move through the museums on an interactive floor plan, choose the works they'd like to see and read informative curator's notes. It's immersive. Personal. Beyond digital, it's a real-life experience.

Color Tone is a set of tools, for people who are deaf or hard of hearing in Costa Rica, to experience the physicality of sound. It allows them to access sound and the information it contains by experiencing it through sight and touch. They can also use it with hearing people and share their experiences and feelings.

But for a child, that’s not actually true, everything has to be discovered from the start. Today, urban children are spending time indoors more than ever before. Parents and educators are concerned that young children are not using their senses actively and don’t have enough possibilities for explorative learning. Current play experiences invite children to look at new, fictional worlds, which causes them to stop using their wild imaginations. With this project I wanted to ask, instead of providing new things for children to look at, what if we could equip the children with new ways to see and explore the world with?

TAMI is a tangible interface that facilitates learning the basics of trigonometry. As opposed to the traditional way of teaching trigonometry (and mathematics in general), TAMI enables an intuitive, playful, and collaborative approach to learning.

In New Orleans, music can easily be mistaken for a natural resource. But every note of every song is the product of a human being. Not only are these people often uncompensated for their work, they are often not fully understood.
