Atopic eczema is a very itchy, chronic, non-contagious, inflammatory skin condition that affects approximately 10-20 percent of the world’s population. In an Albert Heijn store, Appie will help customers find the most efficient route by sorting the items on the list in the right order. And after shopping, users can switch to Cooking Mode, making it easy to follow the steps of recipes, using the ingredients they just bought.

Bo.by is an interactive system that enables bonding between premature babies in incubators with parents, in situations where normally it would be impossible. A device for parents, and a mattress for an infant, are connected and collect, send and receive data such as touch, breast movement, vibration, heartbeat or body heat, enable to feel the touch of one another. This two-way communication, enriched with senses, offers the possibility to experience a natural, prolonged skin-to-skin bonding.

Our latest version, Material You, enables designers and developers to easily build beautiful, usable interfaces. In reimagining the interaction patterns and visual language of Material Design, the team wanted to expand the discourse of design systems beyond usability and consistency, ultimately asking: what if form followed feeling? When we created Material You, we explored possibilities and polarities of scalable UI systems, arriving at more flexible color, shape, typography, and motion ranges for app makers to build with. The new system is expressive and surprising, without compromising UX best practices. To make our system feel more alive and customizable, we tested the limits of conventional UX beliefs – those long held beliefs and modernist paradigms, such as predictable = usable, and we pushed on inherited one-size-fits-all models for manufacturing hardware and software. MusicTongue is a tongue-training game App designed for middle-aged and elderly people. The purpose of the training is to retard the decline of mouth function, reduce the risk of choking and improve the quality of life of the elderly. The game can be played on phone or tablets, and through image recognition technology, the game can identify whether the player’s current mouth movements are correct through the front camera; the movements during training are designed by nursing experts according to the《Dysphagia Care Manual》of the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Taiwan; the rules of MusicTongue are similar to “Just Dance”, players will do the training action with the music. After the game is finished players will be able to check the leaderboard and view their exercise records on the main screen. From the reaction time and correct movement rate, elders can see if they have improved.

Research shows that a great number of cosmetics and body care products contain hormone-altering chemicals that can seriously harm your health. But information is sparse and difficult to access. The Norwegian Consumer Council wanted to inform the consumers about these dangers without creating the feeling of effortlessness that press stories and campaigns about product dangers often do. We created 'Hormone Check' - an application on your smartphone - that enables you to check cosmetic products in the store before you buy them.
