Project description

In the midst of its worst drought in 500 years, designers in Smart Design’s San Francisco studio decided to help by designing a product that effectively influences residential conservation, reduces an individual’s water footprint, and adds meaningful value to people’s daily conservation efforts.
This concept product provides an on-the-spot, ambient display of how much water is actually being used. With an ‘indicator’ at the sink connected to an easy-to-install monitor and an app to provide meaning for the consumption data, Water Watcher could help save thousands of gallons of water a year.
